This is an old revision of the document!

A compilation of games that I've finished and find them to be “Tier S”.
This would be either games that have impacted me the most or that I would recommend any game afficionado to play.

The rest of the lists can be found here.

Think of Hotline Miami, but as a Ninja with some “time” mechanics.
The sound design / OST is amazing, the pixel art is great, the controls are top notch, the mechanics are simple but don't get old and the gameplay / gameloop is just *amazing*.

The story does seem to be deep / to go deeper, but sadly the game doesn't have an ending yet story wise, so have that in mind.
Either way it is an amazing experience, that should take just a few hours (2-6) to end but a lot more to master.

Would highly recommend it if you enjoy games like Hotline Miami, Mr. Shifter or similar.

Superliminal What an amazing game.

So, let me start by saying, that if you just focus on “ending the game”, you will be done in less then 2 hours, tops, and you will be disappointed. Main, mandatory puzzles, they are very few, and once you get the “click” on the solution, you will chug along and be over.

Now, if you take your time to appreciate the levels and go for the hidden content, not only will you find a lot more “puzzles” that will / might stick with you, the entire point of the game, storywise, will stick better with you and will be driven home better.

I would say that if you just want to see the “main puzzles”, then it will be less then 2-3 hours to get everything done, but you would seriously miss in one of the best puzzle games out there by doing so, in a way, going for the hidden “collectibles” will take the game from a 2-3 hours game, to something that you might actual compare to Portal. If you do that, 10-15 hours is to be expected.

Use those different PoV to calculate your “price-value / hour”.

Would definitely recommend, mainly if you enjoy the aesthetic and “fresh take”, but would say to stay away if you are expecting a lot of (main) puzzles.

Definitely, one of the best puzzle / “meta” games I've played.
